What He Brings to UConn:
UConn strikes again, as they have now landed three key pieces in the last few weeks and all of which are regarded as Top-50 prospects in the country. Mullins was a hot target for many, as it came down to UConn, Indiana, and North Carolina, with the Huskies winning out. Mullins certainly can be a threat for UConn in the future, as he brings his shot-making ability to the table immediately. He has a confident release, gets to his spots, and has a fluid shot that can be really effective from deep; he can change the game and really open up things offensively when shots are falling. You also have to like his size and ability to blend his game within the offense, showing touch, not solely relying on his shot from deep, and being able to make plays off the dribble with touch. Mullins does a great job in finding the open spots, and you can see that he has extreme confidence in his ability to hit shots.

“I have a really good relationship with Coach Hurley. They were one of my first official visits. It’s a little hard to remember what I did on that visit but he tells me I’m not just a want but a need. He says I can be out in 10 months if I really work for it. With them, I would have to take that chance on myself as well because it’s really far so if you get homesick you get homesick. Outside of that Coach (Luke) Murray has done a hell of a job recruiting me as well. I talk to him every day and he came in the other day. They’re one of my top schools.”
