6’1” 2026 Owen Calvert (Truth Company)
Calvert was one of the most productive players in attendance on Saturday, capping his day off with a 38-point performance in their second game. He’s one of the toughest guys on the court everytime he plays and never seems to let up in his gritty approach. He was lights out as a shooter while making great passing reads when attacking downhill. He was constantly involved defensively and made quick and efficient use of his touches on offense. His ability to handle a high usage role continues to improve and he should be one of the more productive players in the 336 this winter.
6’2” 2027 Travien Williams (BSA Supreme)
Williams dominated on Saturday, getting to his spots at will and creating mismatches whenever he wanted to. His 6’2” frame holds a lot of muscle and he’s not afraid to impose his will on smaller opponents. He plays with great pace, understanding when to mix up speeds and how to keep defenses guessing. He was a reliable shot maker who used his jumper as a means to counter opponents who were afraid of his drives. He made experienced passing reads, something that bodes very well for his continued development as a lead guard. Williams (along with fellow 2027 guard Parker Watkins) should be in line for a breakout year at Hickory Ridge in what will be an entertaining season for the Ragin’ Bulls.
6’6” 2029 Kaedyn Cole (Team Grace)
Cole was highly productive and held his own against steep positional competition on Saturday. He competed at a high level, battling for rebounds, contesting shots around the rim, and finishing through traffic against bigger and more experienced opponents. He showed toughness, motor, and explosiveness, all three of which are traits that will translate for him as he continues to play at a higher and higher level. His defensive prowess and ability to push the break cannot be overstated and are highly intriguing traits in a young prospect such as himself.
6’2” 2027 Jacob Mills (Team USD)
It shouldn’t be a surprise at this point but it’s remarkable how consistent Mills is as an outside shooter. He never seems to waver or get rattled, shooting with the same mechanics and footwork regardless of the situation. He’s highly efficient when coming off screens, understands how to move without the ball, and is a passing threat when attacking closeouts. His overall feel for the game, understanding of his role, and his skillset make him highly consistent and viable for the occasional explosive performance (like we saw plenty this summer).
5’11” 2026 Cameron Newman (Fire Babies)
Newman was electric on Saturday, dominating as a scorer and overall playmaker while nearly leading his team to the semi-finals. He was efficient as a shot creator, something that bodes well for his overall development, as he was hitting tough shots from multiple levels while picking and choosing his times to attack wisely. He’s a fun passer to watch as it’s clear that he actively seeks out teammates on skips and cuts to try and force defenses into highly leveraged positions. His IQ, feel, and overall willingness to create an open shot by any means necessary should create an interesting combination with Gaston Christian’s highly complimentary supporting cast.
