The Phenom Hoops Fall League has been a tremendous success so far, as players have been able to showcase their development and game on the big stage. Learning more about players for this upcoming season, 2027 6’3 Cruz Miller has entered even more as a name to really watch closely in the coming years.
What We Said at Fall League:
“If there is a player in the class to watch more of, Miller would be one of those prospects I would have my eye on. He had a strong season last year, but he looks bigger, stronger, and continues to add more to his game. Strong ability to create, good athleticism, a good defensive presence, and still has a lot of potential left in his game. College coaches should monitor.”
When you talk about his game and how he has developed, Miller has really been able to showcase how crafty and quick he is with the ball in his hands. One can also see that he is starting to grow more into his body, helping him even more on both sides of the court. He can be shifty in his ability to create and get around defenders, making several plays off the bounce and penetrating the defense. But he also can knock down shots from a variety of levels, displaying good athleticism with his game. Miller has good body control in making plays, understands in how to take what the defense is giving him, and knows how to keep a defender off balance. He gave us flashes of that as a freshman last year and heading into his sophomore season, Miller should be one to take his game to another level with the experience he has gained.
What Has Been Said:
“Out of all the players I saw this weekend, Miller is the player I watched the most prior to this weekend. An impressive talent, Cruz shows elite movement and his two-way instincts shined this weekend. He uses his length and quick reflexes to poke the ball free from opposing ball-handlers, and seems to always be a threat to score. Potentially an instant contributor at the Varsity level.”
“Miller is a very intriguing prospect with his blend of length and creativity. He has strong handles, a good chance of pace and direction, and does a great job in penetrating and attacking downhill, using his length and athleticism to his advantage. He is a strong creator that can finish at the rim and brings versatility.”
