A few years ago, Phenom Hoops was able to get their eyes on a young 2025 Elijah Bragg as he was just starting his story. He has now grown to 6’6 and has continued to develop as a prospect, and college programs have noticed. Bragg has had a strong summer overall and has earned some strong offers, as he continues to provide production. We caught up with Bragg again on the latest, his summer, and how his game has developed over the years. Check out what he had to say.
Phenom: How did everything go this summer for you overall?
Bragg: My summer was great, I was able to expand my game more this AAU season, from being able to face and shoot the jump shot to also driving from the midrange area. My perimeter defense got better as well; I was able to average a double-double throughout the season.
Phenom: What has been your focus with your game and developing it?
Bragg: I would say getting quicker and working hard in the weight room, being able to run the floor, having a motor, and having fundamentals when it comes to skill work.
Phenom: How would you describe your game and where you excel?
Bragg: I would say that I am viable to be a threat offensively and defensively. I excel in the midrange area, 15ft from the basket, being able to knock the jumper and make plays from that area. I am also able to be a vocal asset for my teammates as well and stop my man from scoring, winning my matchup.
Phenom: Recruitment has gone well. What all offers do you hold these days?
Bragg: It has, I have gained offers from the D3 level: Cornell College, Dean College; and the NAIA level: Kansas Wesleyan and Fisher College.
Phenom: What have they been saying they like about your game and what you can provide?
Bragg: They all say that they like how I have a soft touch around the rim and how physical I am. How I am able to knock down the jumper and be able to drive from my area to get to my spot. They like that I rebound the ball and that I can get block shots and run the floor. They say that my game will be a fit in their system and that they like what they see.
Phenom: Do you have any timeframe of when you may want to decide?
Bragg: I would like to be committed by Early March. I am looking in a program where I can develop as a player and young man. Achieve my 4-year degree and learn as much as I can. Also, a good culture I can surround myself with and I place I can feel at home.
