Phenom Hoops released its 2025 North Carolina Rankings, and there are so many players to be looking at for college programs of all levels. We have been highlighting several names already, but now we take a look a bit deeper into the rankings of sneaky prospects that we will have our eyes on and others should too.

2025 Rankings: https://www.phenomhoopreport.com/2025-north-carolina-rankings/

2025 6’5 Addison Newkirk (Greensboro Day)

Newkirk provides strong value and just does what is needed. One can see that he has put in the work, battles where he is needed, has added more to his offensive game and can be used in a variety of ways.  Believe he will have another strong season in helping lead the Bengals.

2025 6’2 Howard Herbert (Trinity Christian)

Herbert is a strong, physical prospect who can excel in getting to the rim but also being a consistent scoring force on the court. Continues to show that he can be a strong enforcer, attacks well downhill, and looks to have an impact in other ways.  He looks to be a leader once again and have a strong year, so keep an eye his way.

2025 6’3 Jordan Patterson (West Caldwell)

Patterson is another player, who is committed to Lees-McRae, who had a very good and eye-opening summer. Each time we watched him in action, Patterson showcased his tremendous motor and energy, finding ways to make those extra-effort plays and being strong in attacking off the dribble.  He should only continue to show what we saw this summer.

2025 6’4 Jermaine Cunningham (Swansboro)

Cunningham is a player that we learned about more this summer and is one that offers a lot on the court. He has size and versatility to his game, showing that he can be a stat-stuffer and impact the game in so many ways. Whether it is facilitating, rebounding, or scoring, Cunningham offers a lot on the court and should be one to watch more.
