Class: 2026

AAU: Bradley Beal
High School: Pope John Paul II

What a summer it was, as players and teams were crowned champions on the national stage. Bradley Beal Elite 16u was able to walk away crowned Peach Jam Champions, and a player that had a strong showing throughout and set the tone was 2026 6’2 guard Trey Pearson.

Pearson finished the EYBL Peach Jam averaging 12.1ppg, 3.9rpg, 5.4apg, and 1.9spg, showing his impact both offensively and defensively as well as a true facilitator in getting his teammates involved. After a huge summer, Pearson is hoping to carry that success into the upcoming season, so we learned more about his game and some of the latest.

Check out what he had to say.

Phenom: Which schools have been recruiting you the hardest or staying in touch with you the most'
Pearson: Murray State, Belmont, VCU, Western Kentucky, and Iowa State

Phenom: What are your newest offers'
Pearson: SEMO and UT-Martin.

Phenom: Any new interests from schools that have yet to offer'
Pearson: Texas Tech, New Mexico State, and Penn State.

Phenom: Do you have any upcoming visits or schools you want to visit down the road'
Pearson: I plan on visiting several schools this fall. Mainly, the ones who are recruiting me and showing me the most interest.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game'
Pearson: I’m a true point guard, meaning I’m a pass-first PG. I’m always looking to always get the ball in the right person’s hands, facilitating the offense, and controlling the tempo of the game. I led all of the EYBL 16s in assists this summer. But I can score and get to the paint anytime. I’ve worked very hard this summer developing my mid-range game as well. I play on both ends of the court. My defense is one of my strong points. I don’t think there’s anyone I can’t guard 1-3 positions. I was 3rd in steals in EYBL 16s this summer.

Phenom: Anyone you model your game after'
Pearson: Chris Paul, and ironically, we played his team in the Peach Jam Championship.

Phenom: Any dream schools or schools'
Pearson: To be honest, with the climate of recruiting and the transfer portal these days, any school that recruits me and proves to be a good fit for me would be a dream come true.

Phenom: What was it like winning Peach Jam'
Pearson: Winning Peach Jam was surreal to be honest. Playing on the Nike EYBL circuit and competing with the country’s best athletes was already an accomplishment in itself, but to win it all was special. I feel proud. I feel like I’m proving to the world that I can compete with anyone on the biggest stage. My teammates and I worked extremely hard all spring and summer. We have good chemistry and trust each other. The entire Bradley Beal organization worked to help us make it to this point. Most of all I’m grateful.

Phenom: How do you hope to build off that heading into the upcoming season'
Pearson: Since winning Peach Jam and hearing from tons of coaches and programs across the country has motivated me. I haven’t stopped working since we got home from Augusta. My parents keep trying to make me take a break, but I just think the success fueled something in me that keeps wanting to work. That is what will carry over with me for my school season. My drive and work ethic. My high school teammates and coaches all have a great relationship so working hard to be successful isn’t hard. I know my areas of weakness and where I can improve my game so I’m just focused on those skills the most. At Pope, we compete in the toughest region in the state of Tennessee so it will be a fun season competing against some good talent.
