2025 Jermaine Cunningham (East Carolina Elite / Swansboro)

Cunningham should certainly fit this description as a “breakout player” this summer. Many may not have known his name before this summer but he certainly has put his name on the radar for Phenom Hoops and college programs. Cunningham has the size and versatility to impact the game in so many areas, whether it is scoring from an array of levels, facilitating to teammates, rebounding, and being a defensive presence that can guard multiple positions.  There is a lot to like about his game and he put his name on the watch list.

2025 Yasir Hall (Strong Center / Middle Creek)

Hall is another player that I’ve been high on and I’m eager to see what he can do this upcoming season. From what I’ve seen, Hall checks off a lot of boxes with his size, position, and ability to make an impact. Hall’s 6’4 frame allows him to be effective from a variety of ways, scoring off the bounce, finishing at the basket, and knocking down shots, really being able to flourish as a scorer. He has a football mentality and physicality that allows him to embrace contact as well as impact the game in an array of ways.

2025 Edward David (Upward Stars Carolina / Carmel Christian)

David is a name that many may have not heard but from what we saw this summer, he could be a player that makes a name for himself this upcoming season. David played well at Charlotte Catholic last year and now will be at Carmel Christian, as this is a team that lost some key guys from last year. So the opportunity is there for David and he could continue his breakout-type season. He was an effective scorer off the bounce, battled through defenders well, and got to his spots well.

2025 Quamir Ingram (Team Gaters Black / Wesleyan Christian)

Ingram is another player that we have highlighted in the past but he had a very good summer, and he could be in for a big upcoming high school season as well. Ingram is one who simply battles and competes on the court, playing hard and making a presence on offense and defense, battles through defenders to score, and has a scrappy mindset. He makes very good decisions, and plays within the team, but is also one that can make tough scoring plays. Ingram always plays with tremendous energy and that was noticeable all summer long.
