There was plenty of talent on display at the Phenom Summer Havoc LIVE in Bermuda Run (NC) last week, and two guards that impressed and stood out with their offensive capabilities were 2025 TJ Lewis and 2025 Carson Evans. Both put on shows throughout the event, as they had multiple big performances. We wanted to dive into a bit more of their games and what we saw.
2025 6’4 Taurus Lewis (Carolina Pressure)
Lewis has been one that we have talked about quite a few times, and we still see it hard to imagine more schools are coming hard his way. But we think it will be only a matter of time before they start catching on. He gave them a glimpse of what he is able to do at the Phenom Summer Havoc LIVE, as Lewis continued to put on a scoring show throughout. Lewis is an effective three-level scorer and does so with ease, using his length and athleticism to get to the rim, is strong with his pull-up off the dribble, and can open up the defense with his range. Lewis was one of the most consistent scorers at the event and he has had a HUGE summer so far.
2025 6’3 Carson Evans (Team EAT)
Evans was another guard who really impressed and put up big numbers, which included multiple 30+ point games for his team. Evans was tough to control and showed his ability to be a creator with the ball in his hands. He was strong on dribble drives, was able to finish at the rim or over bigger defenders, constantly put pressure on the defense and was able to get to the free throw line, and showed more of his ability to rise up and knock down shots. He was effective from a variety of levels and really took control offensively in being that go-to option. Expect his name to pop up more this upcoming season.
