Continuing to look back at the NBPA Top 100 Camp just a few weeks ago down in Florida, one of THE best players that we saw on the floor was 2025 6’3 Acaden Lewis from Sidwell Lewis. Again, this was before the offers started to roll in, Lewis simply stole the show and could have easily been in the running as the best player at the camp from what we saw on several occasions.
And with looking at the national rankings along with what we saw on the court, should Lewis be considered THE top point guard in the country? From what I saw on the floor, I would say I’m higher than others on Lewis’ game, especially with how dynamic of a playmaker he was on the court. Watching him against some premier talent at the camp, Lewis just seemed to be a bit more dynamic and player with more swagger than others. He was off the charts in his ability to create off the bounce, play with a great change of pace and a quick first step, was off the charts in his ability to get paint touches and finish high off the glass with touch, knocked down shots off the dribble and with range, and even showed his excellent vision in finding teammates.
Lewis was a clear leader on the court and had an intriguing blend of running the offense but also being a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. He was better than so many other guards with what we saw and believe he has a chance to be special with his overall point guard feel and awareness.
Since watching him, he then added offers from North Carolina, Tennessee, UConn, Alabama, Missouri, Cincinnati, Indiana, Auburn, Kentucky, Kansas, and Duke, all while making visits to UNC, UConn and Kentucky.
With his blowup and his ability to be a dynamic guard, Lewis (in my eyes) clearly made it apparent that he should be regarded as one (if not the) top point guard in the country.

“Lewis was a true eye-opener and though we have limited viewings compared to other national outlets, it is hard for me not to see his national ranking increase dramatically. His performance at the camp earned him a North Carolina offer and plenty of other schools should be looking his way. Lewis was electric with the ball in his hands, showing tremendous creativity and shiftiness, along with excellent touch in finishing off the glass as well as scoring from all levels. He also dazzled us with some terrific passes to his teammates, as he has a flare with his game.”
“Lewis came out with something to prove to start the day, as he made his case for being the best player on the court. From what I saw from him, I believe this stock should only rise and more programs should be offering his way. Lewis was tremendous in his ability to create and make plays. Whether it was his ability to attack off the dribble, attack the basket with a soft touch and ability to finish over defenders, or really show off his vision and feel in delivering terrific passes. He was off the charts, and there wasn’t anyone that could stop him. After what I saw, his ranking should go up from national media outlets.”
