2030 Jadah Townsend (Team Ego): Townsend was one who captured my eyes with her play; she was scrappy and active, created problems on the defensive end that ultimately led to transition points, and she was able to showcase good quickness off the dribble. She created well for herself and for others.
2030 Jordan Avila (Georga Pearls): Avila was the catalyst for her team, really displaying a strong knowledge and ability to be an effective scoring option from multiple levels on the court. Whether it was her ability to drive and create, knock down shots, create and attack, as well as be effective on the defensive end, Avila had her hand in a little bit of everything.
2029 Jaci Criss (Team Takeover): Criss is an exceptional young guard to watch out for. She was making plays all throughout the game, really excelling as a downhill creator and finisher. Criss was able to get inside the defense and get paint touches, finish through contact, and be a leader offensively as well as showing her energy/motor on both sides of the court.
2028 Asia Robinson (Alabama Southern Starz): Robinson is a 6-foot big that will be a name you hear a lot more as she continues to develop. Her blend of size, fluidity, and physicality is impressive at a young age, as she was able to show her impact on the boards on both sides, her overall feel and strength down in the paint, and really making an impact on both sides down low. Strong young force to watch out for.
2027 Khalia Hartwell (Team Curry): It had been some time since seeing Hartwell in action, but the 6’5 center quickly reminded us why she is going to be a big-time prospect for many programs. At her size, she is able to dominate and make her presence felt big time; swarming the boards, finishing inside, running from rim to rim. Hartwell is just starting her story and will continue to be a big-time prospect in the coming years.
2027 Trinity Jefferson (FBC Carolina Elite): Jefferson was impressive on Day 1 here at the US Open. She is a 5’7 quick and electric guard, especially when she is making plays off the bounce, blowing by defenders, and getting paint touches consistently. Exceptional ball handler that gets around defenders with ease. Jefferson continues to flourish as a playmaker, and should be a name to watch out for more in North Carolina.
