6’7 Josh Leonard (Upward Stars)

It probably goes without saying, but Leonard continues to highlight the makings of a notable prospect. Despite playing up an age group (as he’s always done), it’s impossible to detect that he’s younger than his cohorts. His combination of IQ, size, and skill makes Leonard a matchup problem for opponents. Leonard displayed the ability to rebound, defend multiple positions, and score from all levels. His all-around identity allows him to impact all facets of the game, but it’s clear that he has a lot of upside remaining. Leonard will be an interesting prospect to monitor over these next few years, as he’s already a no-brainer Division I prospect.

6’4 Drew Neve (Carolina Riptide)

There are so many important pieces on this Riptide roster, and Neve is as valuable as anyone. At 6-foot-4, he provides a tough, rugged, high-motor presence with excellent versatility on both ends of the floor. Neve naturally outworks opponents and does the dirty work, whether fighting for rebounds, making hustle plays, or running the floor hard in transition. He finishes well around the basket and above the rim, but can also space the floor effectively from midrange or beyond the arc. Neve’s hard-nosed approach makes him such a key cog for this group.

6’6 Braden Miller (Carolina Riptide)

Given his trajectory over the last calendar year, it’s apparent that Miller continues to develop into a college-level player. He’s a sturdy, skilled forward with a steady presence on both ends of the floor. Miller displays a calm demeanor on the court and doesn’t seem to fluctuate with his approach to the game. He typically does most of his work around the basket, where he possesses touch, footwork, and solid activity. However, Miller is more than comfortable at spacing the floor, attacking closeouts, and locating open teammates. He’s a quality rebounder and useful defender. Expect his stock to continue to climb.

6’2 Jacob Mills (Carolina Riptide)

Although it’s probably been said countless times, Mills is an elite shooter. He’s a lethal spot-up threat who has consistently expanded his overall identity as a player. Offensively, Mills can initiate the offense, attack closeouts, make quality passes, and hit jumpers within a few dribbles. He possesses smooth shooting mechanics and a quick release, which naturally forces opponents to stay attached to him at all times. On the other end, Mills has become an impactful defender whose motor and positioning allows him to contain opposing guards. He also provides effort as a rebounder. Ultimately, Mills knows who he is and how to make his presence felt. He will be a meaningful player throughout his high school career and beyond.

5’11 CP Perry (Carolina Riptide)

Given his ridiculous production, it would be impossible to leave Perry out of this group. He regularly stands out as a focal point for the Riptide, providing a strong blend of playmaking and three-level scoring. Perry is a crafty ball-handler who creates well for himself and others off the dribble. He applies pressure from all levels, displaying the ability to penetrate, pull up, and hit jumpers from beyond the arc. That being said, Perry looks to make the right play and set up others whenever possible. He doesn’t shy away from physical play and finds ways to involve himself in the action as a defender and rebounder. Perry continues to make strides.
