Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the extremely windy Piedmont! The Great One is here to release his picks for the 1A and 2A regional finals. The NCHSAA is using a different format this year so there will be three prediction articles this week including the state title winner picks. The Sadster posted another impressive 14-2 mark in the regional semifinals, bringing his total to 198-42, or about 83%. He missed Bertie’s upset of Washington County and North Meck’s big win over Myers Park. First, we will take a quick look at the 1A. In the West, top seed South Stokes is facing off with the 2-seed Corvian Community. In the East, the top seed Wilson Prep will lock horns with the 11 seed Bertie. In the 2A West, top seed Reidsville will link up with the 2 seed Salisbury and in the East, Farmville will take on Goldsboro. All games will be played at The Joel in Winston-Salem. Now let’s see who will advance…..TO THE PICKS!!!
