Phenom Hoops was on deck for The Grind Session in Winston-Salem recently, as we had a chance to watch plenty of talent on display. One of the top point guards in the region, 2025 Jordan Lowery, led Winston-Salem Christian in a big way throughout the weekend, showcasing his feel, scoring, vision, and his ability to run the team. Here is what was said at the event:

“2025 Jordan Lowery has been controlling the game early on. Really like his ability to under control and with pace, see and read what the defense gives him, and making you pay with his jumper or creating.”

“Absolutely loved what I saw from the point guard leading the charge. His blend of composure and awareness, his under-control pace that he plays with, doesn’t force anything on the court but also takes what the defense gives him. He mixed it up well with his playmaking as well as his ability to create scoring opportunities.”

After his strong play at the event, he also made a trip up to Blacksburg to check out Virginia Tech, as the Hokies took on Virginia Monday night. We spoke to him about that visit and the latest in his recruitment.

Recruiting Update:

Visiting Virginia Tech, Lower had a chance once again to check in with the staff there and he had a chance to reconnect with everyone there. Even though Lowery doesn’t hold an offer from the Hokies yet, they have continued to stay strong with the 2025 point guard from North Carolina.

“The visit was great,” Lowery told Phenom Hoops.  “The relationship I have built with the staff there is good, they think I would be a good fit and a special place for me. They really like my game and said they need me there.”

So what did Lowery come away with from the visit to Blacksburg?

“That it is a good program. They won the ACC Tournament in 2022, which is very hard to do in any league, especially a Power-5 Conference.”

After his visit, Lowery is hoping to set up some official visits to SMU and California, but no dates have been confirmed. Right now, Lowery holds offers from California, NC State, TCU, East Carolina, Seton Hall, Wichita State, SMU, Jacksonville, and Oklahoma State. He also mentioned that NC State, SMU, Seton Hall, TCU, LSU, Iowa, Virginia Tech, and California have been the ones staying strong with him throughout the recruiting process so far.
