2024 Jalen “Roc†Lee (West Oak): This young man, who is committed to Chicago State, was relentless and put on a show in hopes of securing the win. He finished the game with 30 points, and he was exceptional with his ability to knock down shots from a variety of levels. He excelled with his pull-up game, setting up his opponent and rising above them inside the arc as well as getting to his spots from behind the arc. The jumper was going all throughout the night in impressive fashion.
2025 Fernando De Los Santos (Balboa School): Really liked what he brought to the table for his team, as he continues to lead the charge for this team. He is one that a college program would really like to have on their team and could be that sneaky get. He played with a ton of energy and was competitive throughout, whether it was finishing out in transition, making plays and embracing contact, or playing off the ball to knock down shots. Finished with 21 points, and also knows how to make plays defensively.
2024 JJ Moore (QEA): It was great to see Moore back in action once again, and continue to believe he is going to help a program at the next level with his overall impact. Moore does a great job in using his speed on both ends, whether it is creating havoc defensively and getting into the passing lanes, racking up multiple steals, or using that speed to make plays and attack, create for himself, and knock down shots.
2025 Sabree Scott (QEA): Scott is another player that I believe is trending in the right direction. There are a lot of factors that you have to like about his game, whether it is his 6’6 frame, his athleticism, his ability to make plays in a variety of positions and defend multiple positions, and how he can excel with his jumper from multiple levels.
2026 Elijah Omar (SFBA Trinity Prep): Omar grabbed my intrigue early on and that only continued throughout the game. Though he still has a ways to go in his development, he shows the flashes that you like to see that if he continues to develop his game, he could quickly get on several college’s radars. Standing at 6’9, he is fluid enough to play multiple positions, is comfortable in stepping out from three, has a solid skillset overall, and can display an active motor. Yes, there is more to go with his game, but the early intangibles are there.
2025 Jordan Lowery (WS Christian): Absolutely loved what I saw from the point guard leading the charge. His blend of composure and awareness, his under-control pace that he plays with, doesn’t force anything on the court but also takes what the defense gives him. He mixed it up well with his playmaking as well as his ability to create scoring opportunities.
2024 CJ Vaughn (WS Christian): Vaughn really elevated his play and showed that he can be a threat from the outside. Time after time, he was able to get to his spots and display his range, hitting multiple threes to help lead his team. But this is a guard who has shown he can hurt you outside but also has the athleticism to attack downhill.
2024 JD Bradford (Bella Vista Prep): It didn’t always go Bella Vista’s way, but what I saw from Bradford I liked. He is a 6’3 prospect who never settled and stayed in attack mode, getting downhill, embracing contact, and also showing athleticism/hang time in being able to finish around defenders or get to the line.
