Catching up with one of the premier programs here on the East Coast, Paul VI continues to pump out big-time talent over the years and that trend isn’t slowing down, as Phenom Hoops was able to catch up with a very intriguing and talented player in 2025 6’9 Adlan Elamin. Elamin is a long, athletic wing that can provide and make plays in a lot of ways, both offensively and defensively. Whether he wants to step outside for his shot, use his length to attack the basket or boards or defend multiple positions, Elamin provides a lot on the court which is why schools are targeting him.
We caught up with the rising star to learn more about the season, his growth, and the latest in his recruitment. Check out what he had to say in our latest Phenom 1-on-1.
Phenom: How has everything been going this season for you? You all have been having a tremendous season so far overall.
Elamin: Personally, I feel like the season has been going well. We had two tough losses to learn from and now, I feel like we are ready to take on our conference.
Phenom: How has your game elevated this season in your eyes?
Elamin: In my eyes, I think playing with this high-level group of guys every day and with the schedule we have has not only elevated my game offensively and defensively but also my IQ. And just having these experiences, I feel like it gets me ready for the next level as well.
Phenom: How would you best describe your game?
Elamin: I think my game is just very versatile. I’m a long wing that can really shoot it, I think I do a good job of finding my teammates, and playmaking as well. Defensively, I try to use my length to my advantage and I’m capable of guarding all positions.
Phenom: What has been going on lately with your recruitment? Who has been coming strong your way?
Elamin: Right now, I still have been receiving a lot of interest and some offers from high-level schools. Besides the schools that have already offered me, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Iowa, and Richmond have all been coming strong my way so far.
Offers: Charleston, George Mason, Old Dominion, Nicholls, Penn State, VCU, Arizona State, Rhode Island
Phenom: What schools that have offered are really making a push for you right now?
Elamin: I would say VCU, Penn State, Arizona State, and Rhode Island.
Phenom: Have you been able to make any visits?
Elamin: I had an unofficial to VCU back in October. That is it so far.
Phenom: How was the visit? What impressed you and what did the staff have to say?
Elamin: The visit was really nice. Their new facilities were really impressive. The staff talked a lot about the family aspect of their program and how much they valued the development of all their players.
Phenom: Any upcoming visits planned or schools you would like to visit?
Elamin: Nothing right now (scheduled). I would like to visit Penn State, Arizona State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Iowa, and Ohio State.
