Second game of the night out in Lincolnton (NC), the Blue Checks of Combine Academy welcomed in RWE in what looked to be an exciting matchup. However, RWE came out extremely strong in the first quarter led by 2024 Daquan Davis, as RWE eventually led 28-10 after one quarter. They continued to find success, getting out in transition, turning defense into offense, and making a statement before halftime, as RWE led 55-21. Davis had 18 points in the first half, while Karter Knox got going in the second quarter and had 19 points as well. It was an impressive showing from RWE early on; 2024 Rakease Passmore led Blue Checks with 10 points.
Though the Blue Checks were able to slow down RWE in the third quarter, they weren’t able to cut much into the lead and still found themselves down by 69-44 at the end of the third quarter. 2024 Jahseem Felton and Passmore did all they could to try and get back into the game, but they were never able to cut into the lead and slow down Knox and Davis for RWE.

2024 Karter Knox (RWE): Knox, a 6’6 prospect, can hurt you in a variety of ways on the court. He is strong, big, and athletic enough to attack the basket and get downhill, finishing at the rim but also did a great job in stepping out to knock down shots. He is a versatile player that can guard and be effective from so many areas on the court, and showed that throughout.
2024 Raquan Davis (RWE): Davis was really good in this matchup, as he couldn’t be slowed down and was a big-time playmaker on the court. Davis came out strong early in showing his perimeter game, knocking down shots with his jumper behind the arc. But he was exceptional in running the offense, picking his spots off the dribble, getting paint touches and by his defender, and setting up his teammates for easy baskets. Loved how he picked and saw the floor in making a variety of plays.
2024 Rakease Passmore (Blue Checks): Passmore has come a long way with his game, and continues to be one of the clear leaders for this team. He is one of the best in getting downhill and attacking out in transition, putting opponents on posters and finishing through contact, as well as getting to the line. But his game has continued to evolve, as he can also hurt you in one-dribble pull-ups or off the catch as well. That doesn’t mention his impact on the defensive end.
2024 Jahseem Felton (Blue Checks): Felton has really shown this year more of his ability to be a playmaker on the court, whether he is needed to create and get his own shot, making plays and attacking, getting to his spots off the dribble, or knocking down shots off the catch. But his ability to get others involved and be a stat stuffer is also impressive. Has developed and become an all-around guard.
