YNG Dreamerz and City Reapers met up in Lincolnton (NC) Tuesday night in what was an impressive showing with two teams that had big-time names. It was the YNG Dreamerz who made QUICK work in the first quarter, as they came out firing from behind the arc to take a 27-12 lead. 2024 Evan Morton and 2024 Don Lewis got the party going, scoring 21 of the team’s 27 points, mostly from behind the arc. That trend didn’t slow down in the second quarter, as 2025 Eli Ellis got going to score 16 points in the first half. YNG Dreamerz were able to hit 13 3-pointers in the first half, giving them an impressive 54-24 lead at halftime. 2025 Bryson Tiller led the way early on for City Reapers with 5 points.
In the second half though, it was the City Reapers that started to be more assertive on both ends of the court. They were physical, used their athleticism and strength to attack, were able to get to the line and create opportunities off fouls, and chip away at the lead. They outscored YNG Dreamerz 30-14 in the third quarter and eventually cut it to single digits in the fourth quarter. Â The City Reapers were able to get it as low as two points late in the game, but YNG Dreamerz came up big late and was able to hold for the win.

2025 Eli Ellis (YNG Dreamerz): Ellis has been putting on show after show, and he had another strong showing in this one. He got going in the second quarter, showcasing just how deadly and quick he can get his shots off from deep but then mix it up well with his strength and ability to create. Continues to be an elite playmaker and shotmaker, as he carried the way for YNG Dreamerz once again.
2025 Bryson Tiller (City Reapers): It had been some time since seeing Tiller in action but watching him once again, it is so easy to see why so many schools are making him a huge priority and why he is ranked as one of the premier talents in his class. Big college frame, skilled big at 6’9, handles well at his position, finishes physically and strong at the rim but comfortable in operating from other levels. He looks like he could come in immediately and impact a college program.
2024 Jahzare Jackson (City Reapers): The other big on the floor, Jackson is built like a tank, easily carves space down in the paint and gets defenders on his back, is nearly impossible to move at times, and shows good footwork and touch around the basket. Was a force down low and on the boards today, nearly finishing with a double-double.
2024 Don Lewis (YNG Dreamerz): Lewis is an x-factor for this team and has been all season long. The forward battles night after night against bigger opponents but he shows the ability to stretch the floor with a ton of confidence, knocking down big three after big three as well as finding ways to finish around defenders with touch. He finished the game going 5-for-11 from three, really opening the defense for his team.
