It is getting to be that time of the year when there are still unsigned seniors that should clearly be targets for so many college programs. At times, I feel like programs may overlook or overthink when it comes to some players, especially when they are looking to secure a late commitment from an unsigned senior.  Now granted, other factors come into play, especially with the transfer portal. But these players below should be huge priorities for D1 college programs, and it doesn’t take long to see.Â

The time is now college coaches, so don’t miss out!

2024 Isaiah Washington (WS Christian):

Washington has really flourished over the years and showcased his impact on the court. He has really embraced being a true scoring option and stepping up to lead his team last year and has continued to be consistent this year. When you talk about his game, he can get to his spots off the bounce, is a strong finisher with some bounce to his game, is strong out in transition, and is one that can also knock shots down from an array of levels.Â

2024 Maurio Hanson (Chambers):

If you’re looking for an impact play as a forward, Hanson is a very intriguing prospect that has seen his stock rise even more this season but should be garnering more attention. Hanson is a versatile and mobile forward on the court, as he excels in running the court, finishing high at the rim in transition, displaying a good feel in the post, can step out at times, and has some of the best vision at his position. Time after time, he showcases his impact in being a scoring factor, good bounce on the boards, and his playmaking ability along with his footwork.

2024 Paul Jones (Combine):

Jones is another player who was once committed but is now back on the market and could be a very valuable piece for a program in the coming years. He sits at 6’4 as a guard and consistently shows that he can be a threat from the perimeter especially in getting to his spots and shooting with confidence. He can make plays with the ball in his hands, finding teammates well while also bringing energy on the defensive end. Jones is an underrated prospect who should be getting the attention of college programs late in his recruitment.
