Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Ellis Graham
Class: 2024
Committed to: Charleston Southern

What Has Been Said:

“Now let’s look at a rising big man who has been catching the eyes of many and should only continue that trend after a strong high school season at Gray Collegiate. 2024 6’9 Ellis Graham has been earning a few impressive offers lately, with Jacksonville and Wichita State being the latest. But that list could honestly start continuing to get bigger as he is a forward who is just starting his story. Graham has legit size that will grab your attention, but it is also his impact on both sides of the court. He runs the floor well, can go from rim to rim, be an instant shot blocker or rim protector for a team, but also displays his ability to finish strong at the rim or with touch. But you also have to like his ability to have the option of stepping out and being a threat with his outside shot.”

“Finishing up, we look at a player who easily stood out as one of the top rim-protectors on display, Ellis Graham. He’s a long, wiry, fluid post prospect with an excellent interior presence on both ends of the floor. Graham displays great timing as a shot-blocker, positioning himself properly around the basket to either accumulate blocks or deter opponents from entering the paint. He’s a quality rebounder who moves well for his size and runs the floor nicely in transition. Graham is a useful finisher who does a great job of capitalizing on lobs, putbacks, and dump-offs within the paint. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him more physically imposing as an interior defender. Coach Council on Graham: “Ellis has great physical tools. He’s a long athlete with the ability to block shots in bunches. Solid finisher and rebounder. Runs the floor solid in transition. Maintained a positive attitude and accepted coaching well.' Graham proved to be an asset at camp, and will be a prospect to monitor over the coming years at Gray Collegiate.”

“Graham already holds offers but really do believe more should start tracking him in what he ultimately proves on the court. He has tremendous size early on and uses it so well, especially on the defensive end. Graham is a natural shot-blocker, erasing multiple shots around the basket and cleaning up on the boards. But he is also developing more on the offensive end, other than just finishing at the rim. If he continues to develop and add more layers to his game, he is going to be a hot target for many.”
