The final game of our third annual Tyler Lewis HoopFest concluded with a matchup between NC GBB and King’s Fork. Given the college-level talent on both sidelines, it was easy to get excited about this contest. Both squads came out of the gate with intensity and toughness, which naturally led to a competitive battle. In the first half, NC GBB largely dictated the pace, but entered halftime leading 33-28. Following the break, King’s Fork did an exceptional job of keeping things close by applying consistent pressure around the basket. Their sheer activity level and multiple efforts on rebounds caused problems for the opposition, but it ultimately wasn’t enough, as NC GBB secured a 70-62 victory over King’s Fork.
