The second day of our third annual Tyler Lewis HoopFest advanced forward with a contest between Orange High School and Forsyth Country Day. Despite being without Cole Cloer and Kai Wade, the Panthers came out of the gate and went toe-to-toe with the Furies. The opening two periods featured fast, back-and-forth action with neither team able to gain much separation on the scoreboard, as the Furies held a 31-27 lead entering halftime. Following the break, Forsyth Country Day ascended to another level and began to take over. It didn’t take long for the one-possession game to turn into a double-digit advantage for the Furies. They entered the final period of play leading 51-40 and did a great job of displaying patience to ultimately secure a 69-50 victory over Orange.
