Player: Kenny Vera
School: Northwood Temple
Class: 2025
Height: 6’3

There are plenty of players who have elevated their play this season from last year, and it is hard not to talk about the improvement and development of 2025 6’3 Kenny Vera at Northwood Temple. The guard had a solid season as a sophomore, averaging 11.5ppg and 4.2pg. But he has taken the next step in his journey, as he has started the season in a big way as a junior, now averaging 23.1ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.2apg, and 1.4spg, leading his team in a big way.

Though teams come in knowing that Vera is the one to slow down, he continues to produce and take on the challenges, and he showed that recently at the Hoops & Dreams Showcase. Vera is such a physical guard who understands how to be a playmaker, a leader, and bring tremendous productivity to the court. He scores at a high rate, has strong body control, can be strong offensively and defensively, and does a nice blend of stepping up to lead his team and get others involved.

Which is why more recognition should come his way throughout the rest of the season.
