The Hoops & Dreams Showcase was a tremendous event once again this year down in Fayetteville (NC), as there were plenty of players who impressed with their performances. One player that grabbed our attention was an unsigned senior 2024 6’4 Hezron Driver at Laney High School. Driver has been part of a balanced attack for the Buccaneers this year, nearly averaging a double-double this year with 10.7ppg, 9.7rpg, and 3.3apg.
Driver plays bigger than listed, and he showed that at the event in a big way leading the charge. He is one that plays at his own pace, is fundamental, and able to create and finish in a variety of ways, as well as operate from multiple levels. He can make his presence felt in a variety of ways, doesn’t force anything, and doesn’t get sped up… he just finds ways to produce, and he showed that at the event.
