2024 Sheree Gidney (Hickory Ridge): The senior really stepped up to start the event on Day 1, being assertive and strong, attacking downhill like she does, and really being physical in finishing inside the arc and on the boards. She led her team to a strong victory with a double-double of 20pts and 12rebs. Gidney should only continue to excel and be the go-to leader for her team.
2024 Jordan Gonder (NW Cabarrus): In what was a tight and exciting game at the end, the senior prospect had a strong showing throughout the game. He continues to be one who displays the ability to finish, knock down shots, and be effective in operating from multiple areas and within the offense. Strong creator and was active all over with his ability to score, rebound, and play hard defensively.
2024 David Mirikwe (Chapel Hill): The senior guard did all he could to help his team, going for 26 points and leading his team. Mirikwe continues to be one that should garner more attention with his impact; not just a defensive prospect but one that is quick, paint touch guard, one that can finish at the rim and create well for himself.
2025 Isaiah Denis (Davidson Day): Denis played with a lot of confidence, leading the charge in a balanced attack on Day 1 at the Phenom Lakesgiving. He was able to really mix it up well, getting to the line, creating and using his length, as well as knocking down shots with range. He is a quick, athletic combo guard that has good body control.
2024 Derrick Eley (Hopewell): It was an impressive showing overall from Hopewell, but Eley was filling up the stat sheet all over the place. The 6’0 guard was effective in scoring off the bounce and creating, being aggressive on the boards, getting his teammates involved, and also making multiple plays on the defensive end.
2024 Gabriel Mabor (Gaston Christian): Mabor continues to be the consistent presence for this team, as the 6’11 big man thrives and plays with a terrific motor down in the paint. He seems to have a knack for the ball, always finding ways to get on the glass, creating second chances, and protecting the rim really well with his length and not fouling.
2025 Samantha Shehan (Lake Norman): Shehan has really started out the season on fire, as she is clearly showing she is one of the leaders for this team that can be dangerous once again. Shehan just understands how to create and be an effective scorer, using her size and showing how versatile of an offensive threat she can be. She led the charge again with 26 points on Day 1.
2025 Bryce Slay (Carmel Christian): It has been a coming out party for Slay at Carmel Christian, as he continues to put up big showing after big showing, helping lead the charge with 2024 Kameron Taylor. Slay though was off the charts, going for 32 points and showing his ability to score inside and out. He plays with a smooth feel in creating but can just be as deadly from the perimeter.
2024 Santana Lynch (Lake Norman): Lynch has been on an absolute tear to start the season, racking up double-doubles in every game. He continued that streak on Day 1 with a 19pt, 10reb performance, as eyes should really be opening up his way. Lynch is showing more of his ability to be a consistent scorer, finishing at the rim, creating opportunities for himself, and has been just as impressive with his impact on the boards.
