The final game of the night, and it was the biggest game that had the crowd going and the building without a seat as Myers Park welcomed Combine Academy in what was a Top-25 national showdown. Myers Park was without a key player in Sir Mohammed, but that didn’t seem to slow them down, as they came out strong led by 2025 Sadiq White to grab the early 15-10 edge. Shots didn’t quite fall from outside for Combine, as they were down by as many as nine, but the guard play of 2024 Jahseem Felton kept them there, as Myers Park walked into halftime with a 26-21 lead. The tides started to change a bit in the second quarter though when Bishop Boswell picked up his third foul.

In the second half, the guard play really started to shine, as Combine Academy started to get 2024 Rakease Passmore involved and downhill, along with Felton continuing to make plays. Sadiq was still a problem. But Boswell, Ashton King, and others also chipped in. It was a heavy-weight fight, with Combine leading 38-36 at the end of the third. Back and forth we went, trading blows and leads throughout the fourth quarter as it looked to come down to the final minutes. Combine Academy had a chance to seal the win with key free throws, but couldn’t knock them down. However, a key rebound and late turnover helped seal an impressive road victory for Combine Academy 51-48.
