The first game of our second annual George Lynch Invitational kicked off with a competitive battle between two of the top women’s programs in the Charlotte area—Hickory Ridge and Myers Park. Although both squads have a ton of talent, it didn’t take long for the Mustangs to take control and assert their dominance. Several ladies made plays for Myers Park, including Amani Barner and Laura Lassiter, but the frontcourt duo of Jerin Trusdale and Evelyn Jimenez-Willis led the charge through constant production and causing matchup problems. On the other side, MaKaela Gidney stood out as the most consistent piece for the Ragin Bulls. They also received contributions from Sheree Gidney and Amya Leathers, but Myers Park would ultimately claim a 40-30 victory over Hickory Ridge.
