Top-25 Showdown

The matchup between two nationally-ranked teams in Combine Academy and Myers Park may be THE matchup/game of the year in North Carolina. Two Top-25 ranked teams battle it out to make their claim on the best of the best in the state, and certainly should make waves nationally. Top-100 talents all over the court, with Myers Park led by 2024 Bishop Boswell, 2024 Sir Mohammed, and 2025 Sadiq White and Combine Academy led by 2024 Rakease Passmore, 2024 Jayan Walker, 2024 Jahseem Felton, and others. There isn’t much that needs to be said except to get there early for Session 2, as this has all the makings of the Game of the Year.

2026 Chambers Duo Looking to Introduce Themselves

We spoke about Christ School on Day 1, and they will have another strong matchup against Chambers in Session 2 on Day 2. This is why we are looking at the duo for Chambers in 2026 Markus Kerr and 2026 Tarris Bouie. Chambers already has a proven leader in 2024 Maurio Hanson, but for the Cougars to hit their goals on the year, Kerr and Bouie will need to introduce themselves in a big way and step up. Two long and talented young prospects who hold multiple offers already, this is a chance to make waves in a huge showdown.

Underrated National Matchup

Though the Combine Academy and Myers Park may be THE game of the night, the 1of1 Academy vs. Winston Salem Christian National matchup is a sneaky national-type game as well. Two well-coached teams that have high-major talent will square off and will be Must-See TV on Day 2 during Session 1. WS Christian brings tremendous size to the table, along with excellent guard play but 1of1 Academy can match right up with that, as they are flying high early on and bring a lot of athleticism. This game is a sneaky game on a national level and whoever comes away with the victory, should garner a lot more attention.

Talent to be Found with Opening Game

Two teams that will be introducing themselves more on Day 2, Quality Education and NC GBB both have good and underrated talent to be found for college coaches. Unsigned seniors that compete and that can help a program at the next level, players like 2024 Caden Bell, 2024 CJ Alston, 2024 JJ Moore, 2024 Da’Mori Lytch, 2024 Jemaurhiyun Anderson, and others will all be looking to step up.  Coaches should take notice of this game.

Lake Norman Looking to Make a Statement

Lake Norman comes in as one of the top teams in the state, and they have the talent to back it up. Coach Grant Hodges and company will be led by a strong duo of 2025 Tre McKinnon and 2025 Trent Steinour, along with several other key players that give them a chance at a title. But they will come out of the gate with a tough matchup against another title contender in Cannon, led by 2024 Austin Swartz and 2025 Isaiah Henry. The Wildcats should quickly learn what they got in this game.
