A player that captured more eyes his way this past weekend at the Carmel Tip-Off was 2025 6’6 Abu Yarmah for Moravian Prep. The athletic, physical prospect was able to showcase his shot-making ability and range, to go along with his athleticism. We had high praise after his Day 2 showing, in which we had this to say:

“Yarmah continues to flourish as a shooter, showing that he is much more than a 6’6 athlete as well. Time after time, he got to his spots off the ball and has been excellent in catch-and-shoot situations from deep. On Day 2, he hit six big threes to help his team to a tough victory, and with his shot-making ability along with size, he should garner more attention from college programs.”

We spoke to him more about his season, his game, and the latest in his recruitment. See what he had to say.

Phenom: What has it been like with Moravian Prep and what were you hoping to show more with your game'
Yarmah: Ever since I’ve been with Moravian Prep, it has been a learning experience on and off the court. A great coaching staff that holds everyone to a high standard. I want to show more of my defensive skills and playmaking skills, I feel like defensively, I can improve a lot.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game'
Yarmah: A versatile wing, high motor, and I can shoot the ball pretty well. I also make plays and I will say that I am athletic as well.

Phenom: How has recruitment been going'
Yarmah: My recruitment has been going well. I have offers from Appalachian State, Ohio, Arkansas State, and Old Dominion. Other schools haven’t been showing interest but I’m looking forward to changing that this season at Moravian Prep and AAU. I’d say Old Dominion and Arkansas State (has been recruiting me the hardest).

Phenom: What have they been saying your way in general'
Yarmah: They have been things like if I become a 2-way player, take pride in defending the ball, and still be effective on offense, it could impact my career in a good way. Also, just being dominant in general, by getting deflections and rebounding everything.
