The season is here, and Phenom Hoops is out and about throughout the country checking out the talent.  We started our first adventure in downtown Charlotte as of late, getting a chance to watch one of the top guards in the state for his class, but also should be recognized more on the national level.

But I believe that is just a matter of time.

2026 6’3 Yohance Connor was a player we were excited to watch again at the start of the season, and he didn’t disappoint going for 25 points to lead his team vs. Lab U. Connor had everyone looking his way, as he put on a show with his presence on both ends of the court. Whether it was his high-flying finishes and throwdowns/ elite athleticism, his ability to create and make plays in transition, and his energy/motor on the defensive end, Connor offers a lot of intangibles that college coaches would love to have. Even though there are areas that he continues to develop on, Connor brings electricity to the court with his presence and does so in style. What ultimately makes him a game-changer in my opinion is what he provides defensively. He can strap up defenders really well, creates a ton of havoc, and allows his defense to turn quickly into offense, which is where he shows his ELITE athleticism.

Right now, he holds offers from Winthrop, Illinois, Wake Forest, Arizona State, VCU, Radford, High Point, and Central Michigan. But we believe that this is just the start for this young man, as schools should be targeting Connor for their 2026 recruiting class.
