One of the top rising players in the state of North Carolina, 2026 6’7 Josiah Sanders has been adding offers left and right, while several other big-time schools are looking early on his way. Sanders brings tremendous versatility with his size and positional play, and he is one that you should be hearing a lot more about. We talked to him about his latest offer from Cal, along with what other schools have been coming early his way.
Preparing for the Upcoming Season:
“As far as preparing, I’m just getting in the gym daily, studying the game, and not becoming cocky and staying a learner of the game. My excitement about my team is just the bond and connection we all have as well being pushed with two 7-footers, we are going to be different.”
Newest offer from California:
“My thoughts on it were to treat the high majors just as any other D1, D2, or D3 offer. I know they are high-major and are now in the ACC. They used to be Pac-12, as well as Jaylen Brown playing there for them.”
North Carolina showing interest':
“Yessir asked for the transcript and all and said they would be in touch soon. They said they loved what they saw and would be back to check out a few games. Nothing too exciting so far just because they haven’t offered yet, but my thoughts on it would be just to keep working because even if they offer, it doesn’t mean the job is done. I still have to perform when I get there.”
CURRENT OFFERS: California, High Point, Charleston, Norfolk State, Radford, Hampton, Coastal Carolina, Elizabeth City State
Other Schools Showing Interest:
“Wichita State, Clemson, Illinois, Tennessee, Liberty, Mississippi State, and some other big-time schools.”
