2024 Isaiah Sutherland (United Faith):
Sutherland is looking for a big senior season, as the 6’9 big man brings a lot to the table. Not only has he continued to show he can be a dominant figure in the paint, he also can impact the game in other ways. With his athleticism, mobility, ability to operate in the paint, and also be a defensive presence. He is one of the most athletic bigs in the class and should be a great piece for a program.
2024 Wyatt DeGraaf (Cary Academy):
One of the more underrated bigs in the class, DeGraaf checks off boxes that you like with his 6’10 frame, his feel down in the paint offensively, his ability to step out, and also his potential of what he ultimately can become. He plays hard, battles well on the boards, and has a nice presence down low. A smart prospect on and off the court, DeGraaf should see his stock rise more this season.
2024 Ebrima Jabbi (Combine):
Jabbi has the size and has certainly elevated his play over the last year since we first saw him. He has the size you like, the physicality you like, and is just scratching the surface of what he could be down the road. But he has shown that he is a double-double machine, and can simply just be a force around the basket on both sides.
2024 Brady Kester (Davidson Day):
Kester is a 6’8 forward who may not be getting a lot of attention but I think he could get a lot more views with his play at Davidson Day. When we watched him recently, we had this to say: “He brings good size at 6’8 which will help around the basket and defend bigger opponents, but he also showed that he is comfortable roaming around the perimeter, setting screens and rolling into the paint, moving well without the ball, and showing a solid feel inside with touch. In open gym, he flourished in his willingness to battle, hustle on all plays, help on the boards, and show his footwork and ability to operate from an array of levels.”
2024 Ahmed Jawo (Caldwell Academy):
Jawo is a player who grabbed our attention last year, and now he is going to be a big piece at Caldwell Academy. With his 6’8 frame, he will certainly be the presence needed for this team down low, showcasing his long, mobile frame, strong instincts down low, ability to alter shots, and be the presence needed on the boards. Caldwell Academy will be in several big games, so he could open more eyes his way.
2024 Luke Morgan (Wesleyan Christian):
Morgan is a long, wiry forward that has steadily made improvements, added more to his game, and can be used in a variety of ways. He has gotten stronger and more active, running the floor well, and finishing around the basket as well as a presence on the boards. But he can be a tough matchup with his comfort level in stepping out and knocking down shots.
