Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Cooper Jackson
Class: 2024
Committed to: Navy

More About His Game:

Jackson is an intriguing piece and you know what you will get with his game after watching him. When you try to describe his game, this guy is a true warrior on the court and battles each and every play. Jackson competes and is strong down low in the paint, finishing strong through defenders and at the rim. He battles extremely hard on the boards and isn’t afraid whatsoever to get physical as well. Jackson has a very good skill set to go with his motor and relentless presence, which should not only help him down the road at the next level but also help his team on and off the court.

What Has Been Said:

“What is there not to like about Jackson’s game.  What you know you will get from this young man is he is going to compete. But diving more into his game, he is strong on the boards, finds ways to score around his defenders, and has an excellent skillset down in the post along with a physical presence.”

“One of the most complete forward prospects we saw was Cooper Jackson. Jackson a strong-bodied wing at 220lbs and uses his frame to control the paint on both ends of the floor. He showcased excellent footwork and a soft touch scoring in the paint and does a great job at finding the holes in the defense to get create easy dump offs. He excels at being big on the defensive end to make it hard on opponents and shows that he has the ability to guard wings as well as bigs. Just a solid, get-it-done guy that contributes to winning in a lot of ways.”

“Starting with Cooper, a strong, physically overwhelming big man with a tough, blue-collar approach to the game. He plays with a high motor and unselfish mentality, which allows him to consistently make an impact within the flow of the action on both ends of the floor. Cooper utilizes his strength and bouncy athleticism to apply constant pressure as a finisher around the rim. He can score out of the post or knock down the occasional midrange jumper, but typically prefers to find opportunities as a cutter or threat in the dunker spot. Cooper plays extremely well through contact, battles for extra possessions, and rebounds his position on both ends of the floor. He’s attracted a slew of coaches over the recent months, but should only continue to see his offer sheet expand throughout his senior season.”

“There was no shortage of excitement during Team Bond’s journey to the championship, which featured an incredibly productive weekend from Cooper Jackson. As their primary interior piece, he was a double-double machine in basically every showing. Jackson is a strong, athletic post prospect with a sturdy frame and the ability to play through contact on both ends of the floor. He displayed solid touch around the basket, but also genuinely looked to dunk everything. Jackson’s high motor paired with his tough, blue-collar approach made him undeniably valuable to the success of this group. He plays so hard and is clearly willing to make hustle plays whenever possible. Jackson is a great two-way rebounder who utilizes positioning, his body, and nose for the ball to consistently outwork opponents. He understands and embraces his identity as well as anyone in the gym, and doesn’t need a ton of touches to make an impact. Jackson maximizes his role, consistently produces, and will be a prospect for various schools to monitor going forward.”
