The Comets of Clayton will be a school of interest for me personally, as I believe they will be offering a duo that will be making their mark a lot this upcoming season.  But I also believe that they don’t get talked about enough, as Clayton could be a very dangerous team in the area.

The duo of 2025 Andrew Grimes and 2025 Justice Mitchell have my attention, and I believe that they could be one of the more underrated duos in the state that could be talked about a lot more this upcoming season. Grimes, who recently announced his commitment to Liberty, is coming off a strong sophomore campaign in which he averaged 16.8 points per game. Grimes though brings strong size and skill set that will only allow him to showcase his growing development. But another player that has really been impressive this summer has been 2025 Justice Mitchell, who has been putting up strong numbers as well and should have an even bigger year this season. Grimes and Mitchell both bring size, a strong skill set, the ability to make plays in the paint, but also be effective in a variety of other ways.

Though this duo should be fun to watch from what we have seen this summer, this Clayton team brings a balanced attack with other players bringing production to the table. 2024 Anthony Walters, 2025 Jeremiah Henson, 2025 Xavier Longe, and others should all be valuable pieces on the court, as the Comets look to improve on a 14-12 overall record from last year.
