Viers is the fiercest and scrappiest of the bunch in this round-up, as he is a relentless defender. Energy and hustle drive this kid. He is fearless attacking the lane and is determined to score high percentage shots over bigs drawing a ton of fouls. But you can’t give Parker any room from deep or he can hurt you with his shot-making. But, if you play Parker tight on the wing, he blows right by the first man. He has some serious hops that surprise defenders every time.
Viers shows pride in taking good shots over high-volume shots. The kid has a quick trigger and is hard to defend. At the end of both games, he was right there in the biggest moments of close games, defending the game-winning shot and turning them away both times. Defense is special. Parker’s biggest improvement over the summer AAU was his consistent 3 shooting. Also improved his court vision and high offensive IQ.
He averaged 13pts, 1.2stls, 2.1asts, and 2rebs. He certainly left his mark on every game. For the upcoming season, Viers set a simple goal of getting into the starting lineup or sixth man helping this team on a serious championship run. Not to focus on numbers more being another glue guy. Coaches should know that Parker brings a team-first mentality. Defensively, no one out-quicks him from one end to the other. His hungry to grow into a better player mastering those nice skills he already has while constantly learning new ones. Keller is a powerful 6A team. You have to see this season. Shining star!
