Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Mila Holloway
Class: 2024
Committed to: Michigan

It was announced on the LEC social media account that 2024 Mila Holloway had announced her commitment to Michigan, giving the Wolverines a dynamic guard for the future. Holloway, the sister of Auburn’s Aden Holloway, is an exciting guard who certainly knows how to put on a show. When we watched her back in 2020, we could tell that this was a player who had a ton to her game with her ability to create, attack, make plays off the dribble, and her overall presence on the court. The offers started to pour in, but she ultimately chose to go to Michigan where her mother and grandfather attended (as reported by other outlets).

What Was Said by Phenom:

“When you watch her game, you can see a lot of similarities in her game to Aden though. She has that shifty, quick handles that get defenders guessing.  She also has that scorer’s mentality on the court, whether it is penetrating and getting in the lane or pulling up with her jumper.  Holloway already shows that “killer” instinct that you don’t see all the time from young players but there is still so much room and potential in her development.”

“Phenom Hoops got their first glimpse of Mila Holloway at the Diamonds Classic and we were impressed. The young sibling of Aden Holloway, you can see a lot of similarities in their game and it looks like Mila could quickly become a fan favorite, making a name for herself on her own. When speaking to her head coach at Covenant Day, she had this to say about her: “She is resilient,” she replied.  “Her talent and basketball IQ exceed her age.  She is very poised and controlled with the ball.  She doesn’t give up and works well under pressure.  She’s mentally and physically tough; definitely a team player.”
