7’2 Harold Lee (Berean Christian)
Although there’s a healthy number of big men in North Carolina’s Class of 2024, it’s very shocking that Harold Lee hasn’t already gained a ton of traction with college coaches. From an immediate glance, one can recognize his incredible size, length, and fluidity. He’s still developing as a long-term product but the instincts and array of tools should be too enticing to ignore. Lee is a reliable rim-protector and two-way rebounder with the necessary motor and toughness to consistently cause problems for opponents. He finishes well around the basket, but doesn’t necessarily need touches in order to make an impact. In terms of upside, Lee is as intriguing as anyone in this class.
6’8 Derrick Green (Fayetteville Academy)
Every level of basketball finds consistent success with guys like Derrick Green. He’s a strong, powerful, physically overwhelming big man who possesses touch, offensive polish, and an excellent rebounding presence. Green causes so many problems for opponents, as he’s simply too strong for the vast majority of players. However, he’s also quite skilled and displays quality feel on both ends of the floor. Green carves out space as a rebounder and post-up option as well as anyone in the state, and understands how to make decisive moves on the block. He displays nice footwork, especially for his size, and can also space the floor if needed. Green should appeal to a slew of programs.
7’0 Ebrima Jabbi (Combine Academy)
It seems like Combine Academy has continuously found positive results in discovering and developing players—and Ebrima Jabbi seems ready to emerge. For starters, the 7-footer is still playing in running shoes (due to his massive feet), yet still performs at a notable level. Jabbi already does a great job of impacting the game defensively and on the glass, but can also finish effectively around the basket. He’s great at making his presence felt within the flow of the action on both ends of the floor. Jabbi is willing to do the dirty work, run hard in transition, and adapt to team needs. He’s a great teammate who is still truly just beginning to scratch the surface of his long-term abilities.
