On Thursday, Phenom Hoops returned to the Charlotte Skill Factory Media Day for another evening of drills and scrimmage action. The ladies kicked off the practice session, going through fundamental development and working hard during the stations. Let’s check out a few of the standouts from the drills portion…

2033 Finley Crowder

Given her status as one of the youngest players on display, Finley Crowder stood out through her infectious energy and positive attitude. She approached each rep with effort and intensity across the drill session. Crowder encouraged her teammates and tried to help others whenever possible.

20230 Sullivan Brown

The most polished player in attendance, Sullivan “Sullie” Brown showcased ability in every drill, station, and repetition. She already possesses feel, effort, and the ability to pass, dribble, and shoot the ball. Brown appears to have the makings of a notable player and will one to monitor going forward.

2030 Aniyah McIlwain-Drakeford

In terms of intrigue, Aniyah McIlwain-Drakeford made a lasting impression during her time at practice. She possesses a great blend of size and strength with a developing skillset as a player. McIlwain-Drakeford highlighted a lot of positive flashes and has tons of potential to unveil with continued work.

2031 Lila James

Between her motor, attitude, and general enthusiasm, it’s easy to see the impact Lila James made on the court. She played hard through each rep and showed a willingness to learn throughout the process. James approached the practice with intensity and improved throughout the session.

2031 Ariana Bharti

Rounding out this group, Ariana Bharti is another young lady who displayed consistent ability throughout her time at practice. Already able to reliably pass, dribble, shoot, and retain coaching, she has the tools to develop into a very good player. She possesses good length, athleticism, and the ability to attack the basket.
