Finishing up, we look at a player who possesses an incredible amount of long-term appeal, Harold Lee. He’s a long, wiry, mobile post prospect with a blossoming skillset and clear instincts as a defender and rebounder. Lee is a capable finisher, both above and below the rim, and positions himself well for lobs and drop-offs. He’s able to block shots, run the floor, and finish within the flow of the action. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it’ll make him an even better rim-protector. Coach Mims on Lee: “Harold is a very promising prospect with an amazing attitude. Truly a joy to coach. He has to continue working on adjusting to the overall speed of the game. He needs to improve his hands and being more vocal, especially as an interior defender. Harold displayed soft touch around the rim, but needs to develop counters after his initial move is stopped. He can also work on his passing ability out of the post.” Lee showed a lot of enticing flashes during his time at camp, and will certainly be a prospect to monitor over the foreseeable future.

What To Expect:

There’s still a ton of intrigue with Lee, who is a legitimate seven-footer with length, mobility, and considerable upside remaining. Offensively, he’s shown steady improvement as a finisher, both out of the post and through contact, but can also effectively operate as a screener. He’s also a useful lob-threat. That being said, Lee doesn’t necessarily require a lot of offensive touches or scoring opportunities to make an impact. On the other end, he does a great job of causing problems for opponents as a rim-protector. Lee utilizes his insane length to alter and block shots, but also to deter others from even attempting to attack the basket. He plays hard, runs the floor in transition, and rebounds at a consistent rate on both ends of the floor. Although he’s shown a lot of growth, one should expect his stock to continue trending upward.
