2027 Adam Grier (High Point Christian):
Grier is a name that we have talked about in the past and now that he is part of the Class of 2027, it makes him even more intriguing, and should be a freshman that really makes stands out this year. He already has the experience, and he has a tremendous skill set for his age and position. He is an unselfish playmaker, creates well for himself and others, uses his size well, and brings a ton of production. Grier looks to be one to have a big year and will be a pivotal piece to his team’s success.
2027 Braden Miller (Lake Norman):
Miller really opened eyes this summer and fully planted his name to watch early, and could be a nice piece for this program. Though he is young, he is one that brings production to the table as a double-double type player. He has size, carves out space, brings strong physical tools to the table at his age, has a nice touch and is active, and understands how to be a force on the court. Miller should see some minutes early on but he has a chance to only continue to improve and make a bigger name for himself.
2027 Chris Gomez (Forsyth Country Day):
I’m a big fan of Gomez and think he is one that you will be hearing a lot more about. Gomez has a lot of intangibles to his game as a young player; he has size, IQ, feel, ability to create, a great feel in helping run the show, shares the ball well, and can make plays off the bounce or knock down shots. And you can see that he puts in the work and has a lot left in the tank for his game. When you watch his game, there is simply so much to like, and he is one that looks to have a bright future.
2027 Carson Hulsizer (Central Davidson):
Hulsizer is a newer name that was introduced to me, but I really liked what I saw in his game. We recently wrote about him and he certainly has carved his name as one to watch, as he could be an instant-impact type player as a freshman. Watching him operate, really liked his toughness, his confidence, and his ability to just say “give me the ball” and make things happen. Whether it was scoring, breaking down defenders, being a strong three-point shooter, finding ways to get to the line, setting up his teammates, or being a good presence on both sides of the ball, Hulsizer left an impression this summer and should be one to watch out for more.
