2024 Jacob Brandly (Combine): Brandly is one that I’ve been high and intrigued with more than others, and I do believe that he is one that should get more looks. With what he provides on the court, he can be an interesting matchup for a program. The 6’5 prospect has a big frame and is one that hurt opponents with his ability to battle around the basket but is one that can surprise you with his ability to step out, get to his spots, and be a pivotal piece in pick and pop situations. Brandly could be a sneaky player to watch out for.
2024 Cameron Gales (Thomas Jefferson): Gales is an interesting player to watch out for and has quietly had a very good summer and should only continue that heading into the season. The 6’1 guard is one that can change the game and can flat-out shoot the ball with a ton of confidence. He is a high IQ guard, is able to play off the ball and find open spots, and shoots the ball extremely well. Gales has put up some impressive numbers and had a very strong season.
2024 Hank Neace (Davidson Day): Davidson Day should have a lot of eyes its way this season, and though this is a roster loaded with talent, make sure you keep an eye on 2024 Hank Neace as well. He is one that checks off boxes for you, has length and size at his position, understands how to create well, and can be a versatile scoring option on the court. Really do like how smart he plays and his overall feel, playing within what the team needs but also the ability to step up when needed.
2024 Elijah Green (Covenant Day): I’ve been impressed with what Green has done this summer, as I’ve certainly noticed that he has stepped up his game, added more to his game, and has shown he can be a go-to leader on the court. Green is one that has really blossomed as a stronger creator, has improved his consistency in knocking down shots, and continues to play with toughness/grittiness on both sides. Green doesn’t back down and competes, and I believe he is going to make even more noise this year.
2024 David Ellis (Wilson Prep): Ellis is one that may get overlooked at times but does a good job in just being active, doing what the team needs him to do, and being that physical presence down in the paint. He doesn’t necessarily have to be the go-to scoring option, but he can produce by finishing at the rim. However, he knows his role in being that guy to do the dirty work on the glass, battle against the bigs, and be a valuable role player for his team.
