Once again, the Phenom Summer Finale was off the charts and certainly a memorable one to end the summer, especially on the girls’ side. The amount of talent on the court was tremendous, and 2024 Ella Hobbs was one of those players that we were certainly excited to see one last time this summer.

Hobbs, a 6’3 forward who was playing with Outwork Family during the weekend, was a tough matchup all throughout the event.  Her combination of size, skill, and strength down in the paint couldn’t be matched by many, as she was able to be a strong force scoring inside, control the glass, and protect the paint defensively.

She continues to show how big of a weapon she can be on the court, carving space and being physical down in the paint, but also be effective on both sides of the court.

In case you missed it, Phenom Hoops was able to catch up more with Hobb at the event, as she talked more about her game, what she is adding and working on, and her excitement about Ohio State.
