Player: Alonso Easterling
Class: 2024
School: Peninsula Catholic

Though it was a short time here in North Carolina, 2024 6’10 Alonso Easterling will now look to make his mark in Virginia with his new school.  Easterling though brings intrigue with his game at his size.  With his length, he does a great job making an impact on both sides of the floor, whether it is running the floor and being a presence inside or his ability to protect the basket and block/alter shots.  But he also shows the ability to step out with his mid-range game and even further at times, sees and reads the floor well to find his teammates, and remains active on the boards.

His length, his wingspan, his mobility, and his touch are all fun to watch, and there still is room for growth in his game.  He has had a chance to represent his country in Argentina, and he continues to develop nicely.  Moving to Virginia now, he looks to be a prospect to really watch with his new team.

What Has Been Said:

“There are certain things to like about his game, but he also brings a lot of intrigues as well in what he could continue to develop into. The 6’11 prospect added an offer shortly after his showing, as the long forward moves well, runs the floor, finishes well at the rim, and can be a difference-maker on both sides of the floor.”

“A fluid forward that moves well, makes his presence felt on both ends, finds his teammates, and protects the rim well. Should only continue to develop and get better. Runs the floor well for his 6’9 size and should be a new name and presence for Fayetteville Academy this year.”
