2026 Carter Bullock (Team Jumpstart): Bullock is one that I would continue to monitor for sure. He has the size that you like at 6’4 at his position, has shown consistently that he can fill it up and be a playmaker on the court, does a great job in showing his range and confident release behind the arc, but also be effective in other areas of the floor. Very good shooter from multiple levels.
2027 Chris Gomez (NC Spartans): There is something that you just have to like about Gomez’s game. For a player that is going to be a freshman, he plays with such composure and IQ on the court. He has great size for his position, understands how to run the show, makes smart decisions and passes, plays within the offense, and is one that can mix it nicely in being a playmaker or a scorer.
2027 Nathan Jones (Strong Center): Jones put on a show when watching him, but we shouldn’t expect anything less. Time after time, he has been one who has shown he knows when to step up for his team. He controls the game very well, plays at his pace but also is strong out in transition, can create off-the-dribble or knockdown shots from multiple levels as well. Strong creator and shooter with a strong IQ for the game.
2027 Conor Mendolia (Riptide): Watching Mendolia in action, you couldn’t help to see his overall impact on the court. Early he was knocking down threes, but then he did a terrific job in creating off the dribble, displaying crafty handles to score with touch. But he didn’t stop there, as he was excellent at seeing the floor, finding his teammates, and making high IQ decisions. Really like his overall feel for the game.
2027 Christian Carrawell (Carolina Culture): Carrawell, who is the son of Chris Carrawell at Duke, is a player that really opened up some eyes to what he could be. The flashes he showed, whether it was finishing with touch, moving well down around the paint and rim, altering shots and using his length/size well… There are certainly things to like early on and he should be a name to watch out for as he develops more.
2027 Christian Jones (Village Warriors): Jones looked like a man on a mission, and he played well in Game 1 but dominated in Game 2 with 31 points. He simply couldn’t be stopped; creating and playing with an extra gear, playing scrappy on both ends, creating and finishing strong drives, but also showing how confident he can be from multiple levels and his range. Absolutely filled it up, as he made a statement here at the Summer Grind.
