Lady Phenom: What made Campbell the place for you in the end'
Thompson: The special thing about Campbell Women’s Basketball is the people that are involved with the program. The coaches and players do a great job of making you feel a part of the family. The campus is also close to home. These things, along with other attributes, made me realize that Campbell is the place I wanted to be.
Lady Phenom: What are you hoping to bring to that program with your game'
Thompson: Anything that my team and coaches need. I just want to use my versatility to help my team win.
Lady Phenom: What does it mean to stay at home and play at the next level'
Thompson: It means everything. I get to stay close to the people that helped me get to this point. It also allows my friends and family to come to support the program.
Lady Phenom: What will be your focus with your decision behind you'
Thompson: My focus will be to continue to get better and prepare for the pace of college play. Also, to always work at game speed in my workouts.

Thompson offers an excellent balance between playmaking and three-level scoring and understands how to adjust her approach based on team needs. She utilizes her crafty handle and quick first step to touch the paint at a high volume, where she’s able to consistently finish or set up others. Given the way she anticipates and reacts, Thompson clearly sees the game ahead of others. She also offers efficient scoring prowess from everywhere on the floor and is capable of filling it up offensively. Thompson defends well at the point of attack and forces turnovers at a healthy rate.”
