There are special occasions in sports where family members will have the opportunity to play with or against each other. While plenty of folks think of Ken Griffey Jr. playing with his father or the Harrison twins going to Kentucky, these instances have a variety of different forms. However, consider guys like Cooper and Lincoln Jackson, brothers who play together at Reagan and within the same travel ball organization in NC Spartans. The duo will enter the upcoming high school season with their last opportunity to play together, so let’s take a closer look at the identity of each…

Starting with Cooper, a strong, physically overwhelming big man with a tough, blue-collar approach to the game. He plays with a high motor and unselfish mentality, which allows him to consistently make an impact within the flow of the action on both ends of the floor. Cooper utilizes his strength and bouncy athleticism to apply constant pressure as a finisher around the rim. He can score out of the post or knock down the occasional midrange jumper, but typically prefers to find opportunities as a cutter or threat in the dunker spot. Cooper plays extremely well through contact, battles for extra possessions, and rebounds his position on both ends of the floor. He’s attracted a slew of coaches over the recent months, but should only continue to see his offer sheet expand throughout his senior season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln has arguably improved as much as anyone within the Spartans organization since the start of the travel ball season. He’s a strong, high-motor forward/post prospect with an understanding of how to reliably outwork opponents on both ends of the floor. Lincoln is a steady rebounder, quality defender, and solid finisher around the basket. Though he might not possess the same size as his brother, the toughness, unselfishness, and willingness to do whatever it takes to win is easy to see with both Jacksons. Expect this duo to continue making noise, turning heads, and collecting offers across the next eight months.
