What Was Recently Said:

Given his status as a primary ball-handler for this group, Kam McKnight brings a lot of value to the table. He’s a wiry, steady point guard prospect with a great balance between scoring and playmaking. McKnight is a reliable shooting threat with penetration instincts and a desire to make the right decision with the ball in his hands. He rebounds, makes hustle plays, and contains his assignment well despite his lack of strength. McKnight is simply a useful player.

What To Expect:

Over the last few months, arguably no player within the Spartans’ organization has shown more progression than McKnight. He’s clearly evolved as a scorer, playmaker, and overall leader without compromising his unselfishness as a floor general. McKnight is a knockdown shooter with a crafty handle and the ability to consistently generate clean looks for himself and others. He displays quality feel as a shot-creator, understanding when to take advantage or defer to others, and is capable of heating up in a hurry. We’ve seen him put on multiple highly impressive scoring displays, featuring a healthy mix of drives, pull-ups, and three-pointers while still actively getting others involved. McKnight is a reliable defender, willing rebounder, and useful threat in transition—both with and without the ball in his hands. He’s someone who looks increasingly likely to have a breakout high school season and turn the heads of college coaches going forward.
