The Phenom Summer Havoc has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the coverage stops there as we want to talk a little bit more about what we saw on the court throughout the last four days. Here are a few topics that I was able to view at the event.

ACE SD Elite Pena made some noise at the Summer Havoc with their play, as there were a few players that really opened up eyes to what they could provide on the court. 2024 6’2 Caden Caskey and 2024 6’3 Patrick Penosky were two that really impressed us with their play throughout the event.

Last 6 Games at Summer Havoc:

Caskey: 22.5 ppg 4.8 rpg 3.2 apg 1.8 spg 56.5 FG% 52.6 3FG% 87.5 FT%

Penosky:: 20 ppg 4.8 rpg 60.5 FG% 48 3FG%

Caskey is one that has been showing more of his skillset and ability to fill it up, displaying tremendous IQ and feel, leadership on the court, and is one that can be a true offensive weapon. Whether it was displaying his confident release and shooting ability, or his ability to make plays off the bounce, Caskey was putting up big showing after big showing throughout.

Pensoky was another player that we have watched before and has developed nicely. You can see his confidence is growing more and more. He can be instant offense and can knock down shots from a variety of levels. Whether it is off the catch or bounce, Penosky shot the ball extremely effectively and presented a strong scoring option on the court.

Both players have had a tremendous summer so far and should be big pieces this upcoming high school season. Caskey playing at Ardrey Kell and Penosky at Covenant Day, these two should start popping up on more radars.
