The Phenom Summer Havoc has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the coverage stops there as we want to talk a little bit more about what we saw on the court throughout the last four days. Here are a few topics that I was able to view at the event.

Though we only had a chance to watch 1of1 Rare for one day, there is still plenty of appeal with this team and what they have to offer. And one thing that they do have to offer is rising big men that should be on college coaches’ radars. So, let’s dive into each of them…

2025 6’9 Gevonte Ware – Ware is a name that has already earned some strong recognition, but we believe that it will only continue with what we saw at the event. Back healthy and stronger, Ware continues to show his full arsenal down low and what kind of force he could be on the court. He seals in the paint well, getting his defender behind him and understanding how to bully his way around the paint. Ware has strong hands, is active on the boards, has nice touch around the basket, and can really bring a strong presence in the paint.

2025 6’8 Tayeshaun Smith – Smith is another big forward with a tremendous college frame and a developing game that continues to improve each time we see him. With his physicality and strength, he is easily able to operate around the post and finish strong at the rim, as well as defend strongly on the other end. But he continues to add more to his game, expanding his game and range, and showing that he can be much more. This is why schools are really taking notice already.

2025 6’11 Abdulai Kabba – Kabba is a newer name to the scene but you have to believe that he will garner more attention with more views from college coaches. He is 6’11, moves and runs the floor well, goes from rim to rim, keeps the ball high and is effective with touch around the basket, and can be a strong presence as a rim protector. Start learning more about his game and watch out for him more.
