2025 Ahmari Hicks (Team HOPE Gripper): Hicks has had a solid few weeks this summer, and continued that early on here at the Summer Havoc. In a team-first victory, Hicks shows an ability to score and be effective when called upon in a variety of ways; knocking down shots, driving and creating, and making strong plays.

2025 Zymari Perry (NC Heels): Perry had a very good start to the event, and he certainly should be one to mark down and watch more. A 6’5 prospect with athleticism, was able to get inside the defense and really score the ball effectively around the basket. Played hard and with a strong motor all throughout.

2025 Martin Giant (NC Spartans): Giant is a name that consistently pops up with his play. He continues to be one that produces, does what is needed, uses his athleticism well, and can bring a lot of versatility to the floor. He uses his body and athleticism well to get to the rim and finish, or get to the line, but also shows more of his comfort from the perimeter.

2025 Moustapha Ndao (Dubai Mena): Certainly a new name for Phenom Hoops, though his team didn’t start off the way they liked, Ndao had some spurts in his game that captured our eyes. He did a nice job in leading the charge and being assertive, being strong in creating, attacking and finishing around defenders, and looking to get the ball in his hands to be a playmaker.

2024 Cameron Gales (Hoop Dreams Training): Gales was one that we had on our radar to watch more and he didn’t disappoint. He finished the day with multiple threes and has consistently been a player that has shown himself to be an effective weapon. Smooth release, finds his spots, can knock down jumpers from an array of levels; strong start for the young man on Day 1.

2023 Jajuan Nicholls (1of1 Elite): A player still available, Nicholls is a sturdy and physical 6’9 forward who just does what is needed for his team. Whether it was being a force offensively around the basket, carving out space to attack the boards, or protecting the basket, Nicholls just does what is needed. I believe he is an underrated forward still on the market.

2024 Alex Atkinson (Upward Stars Columbia): Things started out a bit slow, but Atkinson got it going in front of a dozen or more coaches watching. Atkinson has that unique blend of length and mobility, athleticism, touch and ability to stretch the court, and he still has a lot more potential in his game. He was a difference-maker on both ends and proved to be a very valuable piece on the team.

2024 Cooper Kowalski (Charleston Raptors): Though it was a very balanced game for the Charleston Raptors, Kowalski was one that just caught my attention with the hard work he put in on the court. A 6’8, bouncy prospect who was able to be effective offensively but also competed hard on the boards. Really liked the energy that he played with throughout and doing the dirty work.

2025 Abdulai Kabba (1of1 Rare): It wasn’t long ago when we were first introduced to the 6’11 big man, and now getting an updated viewing, one can see that he is making steady progress and getting more adjusted to the game. At his size, he was able to give glimpses of a soft touch and feel around the basket, but also be a rim protector on the other end.
