We’ve seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a “Getting to Know” series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embodies being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today’s edition will take a closer look at Carter Bullock of NC GBB.

We’ve seen Bullock blossom over the last calendar year, including at our Freshmen 40, where we stated, “Moving onto a player who impressed with his enticing array of tools and overall skillset, Carter Bullock. He’s a long, wiry, well-rounded guard prospect with great IQ, size, and the ability to consistently make plays with or without the ball in his hands. Bullock scores the ball from all three levels, creates for himself and others, and contains his assignment well defensively. He’s a sharp passer and useful rebounder who understands how to reliably push the break in transition. Next in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain. Coach Mann on Bullock: “Carter is an aggressive lefty who is good at finishing through contact. He’s a solid floor general that sees the court well and can hit long passes with ease. Carter has a pretty-looking shot from beyond the arc.” Bullock enjoyed a nice showing at camp, and should be a strong contributor for NC GBB going forward.”

Since then, Bullock has quietly continued to separate himself from other players in North Carolina’s Class of 2026. He’s a smart, skilled, well-rounded guard with the ability to produce within various different roles. Bullock can reliably dictate the offense as a primary creator and consistently generate clean looks for himself and others, but also excels without the ball in his hands. He’s a knockdown shooting threat with the ability to hit jumpers off the catch, bounce, or coming off movement. Bullock defends with purpose, rebounds well for his size, and does a little bit of everything offensively. He also stands out as a natural leader and quality teammate. There’s an obvious amount of appeal with Bullock, so it’ll be exciting to watch his progression over the coming months.
